Wallet Verification

Hagglr separates your main wallet identity from the internal platform wallet used to settle trades. This gives you flexibility while keeping the escrow layer simple.

Wallet Types

1

Platform Wallet

  • Auto‑created when you sign up.

  • Used as your default escrow wallet for Hagglr trades.

  • Shown in the UI as Platform Wallet.

  • You can deposit assets to it or withdraw back to your own wallet (if/when enabled in the UI).

2

Main Wallet (Verified)

  • The wallet that represents you on Hagglr.

  • Used for:

    • Verifying that you control a specific address

    • Eligibility for certain rewards or airdrops

    • Linking on‑chain behaviour to your Hagglr account

Verifying your Main Wallet

1

Open Profile

Go to Profile (top‑right avatar → Profile).

2

Connect wallet

In Main Wallet Verification, click Connect wallet.

3

Select wallet

Select your preferred wallet (e.g. Phantom, MetaMask).

4

Approve signature

Approve the signature request in your wallet.

  • No funds move. It’s just a signed message.

Once the signature is confirmed, your main wallet status will show as:

Verified and Locked

This means:

  • The address is linked to your Hagglr user ID.

  • It cannot be silently changed without going through verification again.

Using the Platform Wallet in Offers

When creating or accepting an offer, you’ll usually pick Platform Wallet in the wallet selector:

The wallet you select will be the one:

  • Debited when you sell a token

  • Credited when you receive the counter‑asset

Changing Connected Wallets

1

Click Wallets in the top navigation.

2

Disconnect or connect new wallets as needed.

3

Make sure you understand which wallet holds which tokens before creating an offer.
